. . . . the kids got into the school in our neighborhood. Sounds pretty obvious, right? But so far, hasn't worked out that way for us, twice here in Pocatello. When we first got here, there wasn't room in the first grade for Maxine at the school in the neighborhood. So, both kids got "overloaded" to a school across town. When we moved into our home that we bought, went to transfer the kids into that school, hoping that finally the kids would go to school with the kids in their neighborhoods. Nope. They didn't have room in third grade for Riley. So we left them at the school across town, which was no where near our rental or new house. We got them on the list for next year, hoping we'd get them into the school for next year, but it didn't look good. I went to check on their status, and GOOD NEWS!! They'd been placed in classes next year. So, they'll be going to the school in our neighborhood. They went to meet their teachers and the kids that would be in their new classes. They both had kids in their church class that would be in their school house; they're excited. It's a good thing.
Now, Easton's another situation altogether. I got him on the list for a preschool within the school district, five days a week, half days. But he's curren't number 2 on the waiting list. Cross your fingers we can get him in too. It would help, both him and me.
